While the event was primarily focused on celebrating Clinton’s then-impending nomination, the gathering also showcased the diverse landscape of modern feminism and where the movement goes from here to Election Day.
It was hard to imagine seeing a female president in my lifetime.
“I believe that Hillary cares about so much of what I care about. I believe that if I met her tomorrow she would speak to me respectfully and we could bond over what unites us instead of what divides us. Most of all, I trust my country and the world with her experience, something that I cannot say about any of the Republican candidates, and I strongly believe she can win in the general election on her own merits.”
“I support Hillary Clinton because she is the smartest person running for President.”
“I think it is time that issues plaguing minorities and women are brought to the forefront. I think Hillary has an understanding that we need to help those who are the most disadvantaged. “
“I know Hillary Clinton to be compassionate, a doer and a leader. I can identify with that commitment to service.”
